Meeting in Oklahoma

On Saturday February 22 we decided to have pizza and meet with the Oklahoma City members.

Allen Lofland brought the stunning Black Spider from Wichita and John, Delmer and Ron drove up from Norman. The day was cold and brisk but much better than the snow that followed on Sunday. Ron drove up with the top down and managed some to keep from freezing but it took a while to shake the chill and a touch of frostbite on his nose showed how cold it really was.

Steve Cordes and his daughter arrived to talk about the Fiat Cabriolet and impress us with the scope of his project (see "Welcome New Members"). We met at Dave Washington's and looked over the cars and his white automatic spider. This is a nice car and might even become the favored of his 2 sports cars. The other is a Nissan Z car the sure looks "varroom". We lunched at Hideaway Pizza and returned to Dave's for coffee and a drive in the auto. I like the car and the GM tranny being bullet proof is a fine feature and does not the hurt the car at all.

As we gathered, his neighbor, Gary, walked over to tell us of his Spider being rebuilt. I knew that there were more Fiats in OK City but living across from each other was a surprise.
