This was our second year for MOFLO. Both the Brown and Black Spiders have been there two years now. This year we had Pete, and Mirian Angel caravan with us from Wichita . This turned out to be a blessing as we managed to purchase some bad fuel that caused all sorts of problems. Pete is a rolling repair shop, tools, extra parts, and knowledge but to no avail this time except for his constant moral support. The Black spider did arrive although late on a tow trailer. The Brown spider following with three aboard. Good thing Lyn's a bit on the small side. MOFLO was a chance to get a way this year as we are very tied to our house caring for my father, who is 85 and disabled with a stroke.
The Spiders give us a welcome break
from our caring duties. Also this year was a good opportunity
to test the new 134a Air Conditioning system I have installed
in the Brown spider. The AC puts out an average of 40 degree cold
air with no problem. I was a little concerned on the return trip
when it got the hottest and the car seemed to be warming up inside.
Then my wife asked if the little lever that lets in heat should
be pushed the other way. WELL du. it had been open for the whole
trip. Closed the vent and it got done right cold. Love that AC.
But still top down is great. Next year we are looking forward
to a three day event and new Fuel filters have be installed. Really
enjoyed meeting new faces and old ones. AND making new friends.
